The Eagle Low Drag GT at the St. James Concours
The Eagle Low Drag GT was officially revealed at a midday unveiling on the opening day of the St. James Concours at Marlborough House in St James Park, London.
The Low Drag GT is Eagle’s interpretation of the Jaguar Low Drag Coupes that were raced in the 1960’s.
Jaguar aerodynamicist, Malcolm Sayer, designed a flowing roof shape that was applied to three racing roadsters making them more slippery through the air. As a by-product they were incredibly beautiful but, of course, were dedicated racing cars with all the associated compromises as far as road cars are concerned.
We have built the Low Drag GT to combine the Sayer beauty with our renowned performance, reliability, safety and road going usability. As ever it is created from an original Jaguar E-type. The result was officially revealed at a midday unveiling on the opening day of the St. James Concours at Marlborough House in St James Park, London. It was received very well indeed and is recognised as a coupe 'sister car' to our much acclaimed E-Type Speedster.
